Lady Gaga is ranked seventh in 2010 World's 100 Most Powerful Women list published by Forbes. She is topped by Michelle Obama (#1), Irene Rosenfeld (#2), Oprah Winfrey (#3), Angela Merkel (#4), Hillary Clinton (#5), and Indra Nooyi (#6). Gail Kelly (#8), Beyonce Knowles (#9), and Ellen DeGeneres (#10) complete the top ten.

According to Forbes, the power women candidates were classified into four groups: politics, business, media and lifestyle (entertainment, sports and fashion). Then they ranked the women in each group, and then group against group.
